Things are changing, so many things, on so many planes. Please stay tuned to learn along with me.

I was diagnosed in June with Primary Myelofibrosis with a Jak2 mutation. Now after re-review, a second opinion from a well known oncology center, I now have (according to the WHO criteria) a diagnoses of a myeloproliferative, monocytic, dysplastic leukemia and bone marrow disorder - CMML.  I was somewhat shocked to hear the Dr. say, "As you know the prognosis is not very good and, I'm sorry but we really have nothing to offer you!" However now, I consider those words a gift.

It was not meant as hard hearted, just factual - that there are no treatments, Chemo does not work on the illness itself, chemo and radiation "may" reduce the large spleen size and clinical trials have not shown significant results. Some drugs may slow the symptoms but not the progression. Anyhow, a diagosis is just information, thats all. 

I will not accept that prognosis! I am going to learn about and persue nutritional and bioenergetic therapies.   You can read about BIOPHOTON LIGHT HEALING  in the Menu on the right: "Featured Articles" read Standing in The light"  I hope to attract people that have health issues to share the things we CAN do. As I told my doctor, "On a wing, a prayer and my choosen path I'll deliver you a miracle patient!" * I HAVE! 

I am begiining to understand and witness how biontology (biophoton light therapy) is allowing my body (and so many others) to heal itself. I am so grateful for the love and support of my friends and family in this study and practice! 

This diagnosis was determined from the many vials of blood, the bone marrow biopsy & aspiration, flowcytomitries etc. I *had an enlarged spleen, enlarged liver & abdomen and crazy blood counts. (*See updates) The doctor said ... "Perhaps you might want to consider taking Hydroxyurea, for your spleen, don't worry your hair won't fall out."  Yikes - Chemo, radiation, bonemarrow transplants, chemical trials. 

Thoughts: Wow! What does all this mean? Is this Cancer? (Yes) - Can I still move to Mexico? (Not now)  - Do I have time to write the books I was going to finish writing? (Maybe)? Can I still play on the 4 tennis teams I have been playing on? (Maybe, I'll cut it down to 2)  Will I see my grandchildren, if there are any? (I plan to) All these popped into my head...at once. So many questions! The NEW answer to all the early questions above is YES I believe I can do all of the above, my treatments are working and I feel better and better and I am learning to rid my body of "disturbances" and to heal on many levels.

My personal philosophy is, "what is - is."  The one thing we CAN control is how we approach it.

I have created this site as a sharing project, my intent is not to have it be ego driven but to explore, learn and share what I discovered about this "condition" and to hopefully learn from what others know. Also to share and invite sharing in the beauty of life around us.  On that note -  a special thank you to Artist Shiloh Sophia McCloud for lending her beautiful visionary painting to the left, her link is in the "About Bijou" tab. The painting (to me) embodies the journey. 

As things change significantly, I will be posting, "How & what I am doing, Non-medical  under Blog Catagories on the right, Also (under  Blog Catagories) whenever I get medical news it will be under Bijou Medical Updates by date. This makes it easy for friends and family to know what's up without making it the topic of conversations - just check the website!  I'll also be adding art, music, photos, and suggestions that are influencing me on this path.
