My sister sends me (and my other sister) posts constantly from "The Brave Girls Club"

The posts are entitled "A little bird told me" Often they are amazingly like just what our mother used to tell us, just good common sense about how to handle things and stay on track.  Here is a post she sent me the other day. I do realize the seriousness of any critical diagnosis and am not making light of it, but it  the message and this website, are in alignment with my philosophy of "buck up and make the best of it", whatever "it" is. Anyhow here is a post from several days ago.

Art Prescription

Hello Bijou,
I landed here from Brave Girls. I'm a nurse and an artist and have a blog called The Art Prescription. My mission is to share the healing qualities of art. As I build it I want to have guests who want to share their journeys. I'm also working on a book about art and healing which will have specific "projects" to express what ever it is you are feeling in the moment!! Good for you to have such positivity!
Cheers,

Art prescription!

Thank you Beverly for writing and sharing your site. It is beautiful. Yes, I do believe the combination of art, living in the realm of the senses, food and love can heal. I will write a post soon on your blog. I hope you will continue to write inspirations on my blog as to the events that you have witnessed as a nurse in what has affected the healing of your patients. That is important to me, to know and to share what is making a difference.
I think so much of it is ...Do you collapse into your illness or, do you grab the bull by the horns and say NO to the progression, and affirm "I am going to live life even more fully, more beautifully, more whole than before." That fullness includes art, music, healthy foods, and surrounding ones self with like minded people. Please share your professional thoughts of what you have seen that makes a difference.
I would love to have you post one blog and picture, it is a bit complicated and once done ..it is easy. If you register as a guest the blog site will come up. Please email me a bijou@healingcreatively.com and I will email you back the simple instructions to add a picture. Your art is wonderful.
Mahalo, as they say in Hawaii.
