WHAT IS GERSON THERAPY?
The Hawaii Gerson Therapy Center (part of Hawaii Naturopathic Retreat Center Inc.) offers Gerson programs & retreats on the beautiful Big Island of Hawaii.
Gerson Therapy is a nutritional program that utilizes the body's own mechanism in the treatment of chronic debilitating illness. It was introduced 50 years ago by Max Gerson, M.D.
Gerson Therapy is a detoxification and rebuilding program. It consists of flooding the body every day with nutrients from about 20 pounds of organically grown fresh fruits and vegetables.
As a result of detoxification and increased oxygenation, cellular regeneration of all organs occurs, in particular that of the liver, and the immune system is restored to its optimal function.
Gerson therapy may be used to help recovery from chemotherapy or after surgery or radiation.
Dr. Baylac is a licensed Naturopathic Physician, Gerson practitioner, member of AANP (American Association of Naturopathic Physicians) and OncANP (Oncology Academy of Naturopathic Physicians). She successfully completed her Gerson training in 2002, at the Gerson Institute, and has since then practiced Gerson Therapy fulltime. For several years after her certification in 2002 she worked with the Gerson Institute.
From 2008 Hawaii Gerson Therapy Center is independent of the Gerson Institute. Dr. Baylac doesn't entertain a business relationship with the Gerson Institute anymore, nor pays any fees to it.

Located easternmost on the Big Island of Hawai'i, our retreat center is not far from charming warm pools, secluded steam vents, a major alive volcano, and pristine bottomless crater lakes intertwined with lush tropical jungle and arid lava fields, where we can make trips.
The air is fresh and pure making each breath an awakening experience. The energy is strong and clear, making transformation and "letting go of the old" a keynote characterizing the life of those who set foot on this land. Harmonizing with this powerful raw energy allows for deep relaxation to occur and healing to take place.
Dr. Maya Nicole Baylac is a naturopathic physician, a detoxification & fasting specialist, and a practising psychotherapist since 45+ years.

TWO-WEEK GERSON THERAPY FOR CANCER PATIENTS
The Gerson Therapy is a long term nutritional program used successfully for over 50 years in the treatment and prevention of chronic degenerative disease, cancer in particular. The nutritional program consists of fresh organic vegetable juices, 3 meals per day made of raw and cooked food and supplemental vitamins, minerals and enzymes. The therapy is based on detoxification and nourishment of the body and restoration of the immune system.
Hawaii Gerson Therapy Center's 2-week introduction is designed to maximize your chances of successfully continue the therapy at home.
Bring a companion: If you need assistance in your daily activities you are required to come to our center with a companion. The companion may be your husband, your daughter or a friend. Both of you will be educated about all the aspects of the program.
Educational program: The program includes education, medical supervision, psychological & spiritual support, activities, motivational work and more.
